Japanese investors still lack information about Vietnam's real estate market

VNA - Many Japanese investors still lack information about Vietnam real estate market. This is an opinion given at the Investment Promotion Conference organized by TMS Group iukuoka, Japan, April 10.

In an interview with the VNA reporter on the sidelines of the conference, Mr. Sumio Hara, President and CEO of So Kikaku Sekkei Construction Design Company, said that for Japanese people, Vietnam is the top investment destination in the Southeast Asia area. However, he still has many unknown things about the real estate market in Vietnam. Therefore, Mr. Hara said that events such of conference organized by TMS Group will provide more detailed information about Vietnam real estate market. According to Mr. Hara, if there is more detailed information about this market, this certainly the number one investment destination.

For his part, speaking at the conference, General Consul of Vietnam in Fukuoka, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hong, confirmed that the Consulate General is willing to support businesses in Kyushu region to pay attention to investment and business activities in Vietnam. Ms. Hong said: “As a bridge, the Consulate General is willing to accompany and support businesses in Kyushu region to pay attention to investment and business activities in Vietnam”.

Besides, Ms. Hong also reviewed the outstanding economic achievements of Vietnam in recent years, and led the recent survey data of the Japan Trade Promotion Organization (JETRO) and the Department European Trade (Eurocham) about the optimism of foreign invested enterprises about business prospects in Vietnam.

According to Ms Hong, JETRO's survey results show that 70% of Japanese enterprises in Vietnam have the orientation to expand business activities. Compared to other countries, this rate is relatively high. Meanwhile, according to Eurocham's survey, nearly 70% of enterprises responded "Good" and "Very good", 90% of businesses rated Vietnam's economic outlook stable and improved in the coming time.

Ms. Hong emphasized the optimism of the business community on business prospects in Vietnam in 2019 and the rapid development of Vietnam's economy are factors that make foreign investors more interested. to the real estate market in Vietnam.

Meanwhile, Mr. Norio Hattori, Former Japanese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam, commented: “Among Asian countries, Vietnam has many points suitable for Japan. Vietnamese people are industrious, hardworking, hard-working and enthusiastic”. Mr. Hattori emphasized that the number of Japanese businesses and people in Vietnam is increasing and vice versa, the Vietnamese in Japan also increased rapidly. These are favorable conditions for friendly relations between the two countries.
